The nominees for the 89th Annual Academy Awards were announced this morning (January 24) via live stream, the Academy's site and social platforms and broadcasters like Good Morning America. The honors were announced by Brie Larson, who won Best Actress in 2016 for Room, 2007 Best Supporting Actress winner Jennifer Hudson, previous Oscar nominees Ken Watanabe, Jason Reitman and Emmanuel Lubezki, and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs.

The live Oscars broadcast is scheduled for February 26 on ABC, hosted by the network's late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who has previously hosted two Emmys broadcasts.
