A Utah mom is getting a ton of attention after she 'cancelled Christmas'. Here's how 36 year old Lisa Henderson explains it on Over The Big Moon...

Now before you all go crazy on me in the comments, let me explain. We have not canceled putting up decorations, celebrating the birth of our Savior, or any of our other heartwarming traditions. But, we have canceled presents, Santa and stockings. Their letters to Santa this year will be asking Santa to find someone who needs their presents more."

Lisa and her husband John have said that after working for months on their kids, very little changed and they decided that the entitlement had to change - so, they cancelled Christmas.

We asked you what you thought. The overwhelming response was:

"Good for them!"

The second most popular response was:

"It starts with the parents!"

It is a problem. I see it everyday. I think the word 'entitlement' says it all. Too many kids simply expect things. Lots of things. Lots of nice things. Some people who responded on Facebook has some great ideas on how to change that. My favorite was this suggestion:

"After we are done opening our presents, we have our kids give one of their brand new gifts to a child who may not get any gifts. One year, my son gave away his favorite gift he got for Christmas. When asked why he was giving away his favorite, he said that maybe it could be someone else's favorite too!"

See? All it takes is one little kid to put your faith back into humanity. What do you do? How do you keep kids from wanting it all - but even harder, expecting it all? Comment here or on Facebook or Twitter.
