New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation just made a huge gift to the Westbrook Junior Blazes football program... $10,000 for new helmets and safety equipment!

According to Keep Me Current, Gronk wanted to give money to the program to make the sport just a little safer for kids to participate. The money will be used to purchase Riddell Speed helmets for the kids, and officials at the program said that they'll be able to afford more than 75 Riddell speed helmets.

Riddell speed helmets keep kids safer, and provide more coverage for potential injuries. Read the article at Keep Me Current here to see what the Westbrook Junior Blazes staff members had to say about Gronk's donation.

Have a kid that wants to get involved? Registration for the new season is happening now at westbrookyouthfootball.com. The season begins in August, with games running September through October.

Big thanks to the one and only Gronk for looking out for all the kids in Pats Nation!
