A summer morning downpour didn't stop thousand of people from turning out to run, bike and swim in the annual Maine Cancer Foundation Tri For a Cure which raised a record setting $1.6 million. Check out these photos from participant Michele Mullen.

The Tri For a Cure triathlon involves teams of swimmers, runners and bikers that raise money for The Maine Cancer Foundation, a 30-year-old organization dedicated to reducing cancer incidence and mortality rates in Maine. All money raised by the foundation stays right here in Maine.
