According to Eater Maine, Portlanders looking for a quick slice or some authentic New York Style pizza will have a new option in the middle of January, Pizzaiolo. The restaurant is the venture of former director of operations at the ever popular OTTO, Pat Scally.

Scally promises that Pizzaiolo will be Portland's freshest pizza place, with slices available that are no more than one hour old. There will also be gluten-free slices available, which is something Scally told Eater Maine "no one else has ready". The restaurant will boast an extensive menu of gourmet pies, along with salads and one specific sandwich, a meatball sub.

Pizzaiolo plans to be open from 10am to 10pm daily, with catering and delivery options available. If you're looking to dine-in, the restaurant will be located at 360 Cumberland Avenue right across from Schulte and Herr. Ready to try a new slice?
