Firefighters don't usually rescue cats from trees and high places, but yesterday Portland Firefighers made an exception when a cat was stuck on the fourth floor ledge of the Time and Temperature building.

A crowd had gathered on the street below as the firefighters extended their bucket up to rescue the cat.

It's not every day you see a cat on a four story ledge of an office building in downtown Portland. So how did the cat get there in the first place?

Someone in the building brought their cat to work and next thing they knew, it was out on the ledge. Cats tend to do what they want, go where they want and in this case, they go out on a ledge because why not? Who bring their cat to work??? That's just asking for trouble.

The cat is fine thanks to the Portland Fire Department. The takeaway here? Leave the cat at home. They'll be safer and probably prefer having the place to themselves anyway.
