With just a little over a week until Portland's tree lighting ceremony, the tree selected as this year's Holiday (Christmas) Tree arrived in Monument Square today.

The tree is a 40 foot Blue Spruce donated by Barbara Ripley and was cut down at her home on Harris Avenue in Portland Thursday morning to make the journey downtown. Here's what it looked like in this Google Streetview from 2015.

And here are it is arriving on the flatbed in Monument Square.

After being set up, crews will decorate it with 3000 LED lights all in preparation for the annual tree lighting ceremony on November 25 at 5pm presented by Portland Downtown.
