There's a great lineup of artists this year for the Dempsey Challenge Music Festival. FREE and family friendly, attendees are free to bring camp chairs & blankets to kick back and enjoy the show! Food Trucks & The Gritty’s/Baxter Brewing Beer Garden will be on hand to serve up some of the best food & beer Maine has to offer!

Here's the full lineup of the music festival for you!

  Skosh (Sept. 27, 8:15a.m. – 9:45a.m.)
Skosh is a five piece Rock/Funk/Alt. Country band from Buckfield, Maine.  The band prides themselves in playing, “a little bit of everything”. Skosh is comprised of Jedidiah Allen on drums/vocals, Elijah Allen on bass/vocals, Sam Berce on guitar, Tyler Russell on guitar/vocals, and Pete Richard on Saxophone. The band has gigged extensively across the state, and recently performed on the main stage of the 2013 Kahbang Music and Arts Festival alongside other national acts including Dr. Dog. Skosh is gearing up for the release of their debut album, a ten song, self titled LP. The music video for the first single from the album, “Tall Grass” can be viewed on youtube.   Camp of Rock (Sept. 27 • 11:30a.m. – 12:30p.m.)
Facebook Camp of Rock is a summer music camp for kids ages 7-17. Each year for 2 weeks, director Brian Gagnon assembles a rock band made up of kids with varying ability on their instruments, and teaches them how to play a variety of rock tunes. They learn the finer points of performing, improvising, setting up a stage, hauling gear, and recording. They have had the pleasure of working with many local amateur and professional musicians, and were lucky enough to meet and work with Jon Fishman, drummer for Phish, in the summer of ’08. Their music has been played on local radio stations, and they have performed at the Dempsey Challenge, Central Maine Community College and at the Great Falls Balloon Festival in Lewiston/Auburn, Maine.
 
  The Dapper Gents (Sept. 28 • 10:30a.m. – 11:45a.m.)
The Dapper Gents hail from Portland, ME, home of hundreds if no tthousands of interconnected musicians. With Danny Rand on cello, Jon Truman on drums, S. Mason Gurley on upright bass, The Dapper Gents are co-lead by Jacob McCurdy and Clay Shanks. Fusing two of their favorite styles, The Gents play what they like to call Alternative-Folk. They cover a wide range of their own influences from The Rolling Stones to Mumford and Son’s and utilize those styles in their original songs as well.
 
  The Awesome 80′s Band (Sept. 28 • 12:15p.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
