S.C. deputy on leave. He throws teen girl in the classroom,

Senior Deputy Ben Fields from Columbia, South Carolina is on leave after a video shows him tossing a teen girl from her desk and dragging her across the classroom before handcuffing her.

No one was hurt after the girl refused the deputies order to leave the classroom for being disruptive. It was caught on video by several students.

You can see her not stand up, then the officer wraps his arm around her neck and tips the desk backward until she falls out of it. Then he throws her across the floor and handcuffs her.

They are investigating and they are also looking into a possible racial motivation. The deputy is white, the teen girl is black.

The school says it was excessive and their first priority is the safety of their students.
