Schools Are Delayed For The First Time This Year Due to Snow

We haven't even made it to Thanksgiving yet and we already our first round of school delays.

Superintendents across Maine woke up this morning to see enough snow falling to make travel treacherous and have had to start school later in the day. As of 6:45 a.m., schools were only reporting delays of typically 2 hours. Most of those schools were in the mountains and foothills and parts of Maine north of Augusta.

The good news is they're only delays so they don't actually count as snow days. The bad news is if this trend of precipitation continues through the winter, kids will still be going to school at the end of June.
