Services Planned For Maine Cyclist Killed By Vehicle In Mississippi
As the investigation into the crash that killed 32 year old James Dobson of Lebanon, Maine continues in Mississippi services have been set for Sunday afternoon A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home in Portland.
James was making a cross country charity ride to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock for children with cancer. He had left New Hampshire on October 1st determined to bike 60 miles a day until he got to San Diego.
He was 44 days in to his trek on Highway 98 west of Hattiesburg, Mississippi when he was struck by a vehicle and died. His burial will be in the spring in Sanford, Maine.
