It has already been a heated political battle leading up to nominations for President. People have been torn on whether they support Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders on the democratic side. As for the Republicans, Donald Trump ran away with that contest. So as we gear up for a November showdown to decide our next commander-in-chief, you will undoubtedly see politics everywhere you go. That includes in the streets of Lewiston.

Courtesy of some Facebook photos from Lewiston resident James Dionne, it appears strong political opinions have found their way to the twin cities. An anonymous person spray painted ANYBODY BUT TRUMP on Walnut St. near Poirier's Market. But they didn't stop there.

Beyond their broad declaration of anybody but Trump, they decided to toss in a vote for Bernie Sanders. Although its a little difficult to make out from the picture, the "street artist" behind this mentions that Sanders is the "lesser of all evils". A strong political stance straight from a spray can.

Although this bold and very public vote does not count in the general election, it does speak to the current state of political volatility in our state and country. Have you seen any other bold political messages where you live? If so, please share them!
