J's Oyster is one of my favorite spots in Portland all year round. In the summer, you'll find me on the patio devouring a haddock sandwich and sipping a white wine. In the fall and winter, you'll find me inside doing the exact same thing. J's Oyster is the perfect place to warm up for lunch or dinner, especially if you find yourself shopping for the holidays in the Old Port and in need of sustenance and cozy vibes. Here are four ways J's Oyster will keep you warm and toasty as we approach more seasonable late fall and winter temperatures.

The Chowders & Stew

Haddock and clam chowder or the favorite lobster stew are all scientifically proven to take the chill out of any November day. Order a cup or a bowl to get your meal started.

The Beer, Wine & Cocktails

J's Oyster has a full bar so you'll have no trouble returning the color to your cheeks with a pint of a local brew or some whiskey on the rocks.

The Atmosphere

The wooden beadboard walls and U-shaped bar create a cozy dining experience. The conversations around the bar will warm your spirit as the food and drink covers the rest.

The Setting

It doesn't matter how cold it is outside, if you're in the dining room at J's Oyster looking out over the water, you'll fill with the warmth of knowing this is an experience you can only have in Maine.
