I stumbled across this new game show on YouTube based on the board game Monopoly that flies people to Las Vegas to play for $1 Million dollars. After watching it, I thought it was one of the best game shows I've seen in a long time and Mainers have a chance to be on it.

'The Monopoly Millionaries' Club' is filmed in Las Vegas and hosted by Billy Gardell who plays Mike on CBS' 'Mike and Molly.' He's pretty good too, but he needs to stop saying "my friend" to the contestant so much!

Contestants are flown into Vegas from all over the country that entered to win after playing the Monopoly Millionaires' Club scratch ticket in their state lottery. The Maine State Lottery is one of the participants.

Contestants are picked from one of five sections represented by a Monopoly token to play a game to win up to $100,000 that they split with their section - $50,000 for the contestant and the other $50,000 is split between the other members of the section.

The games are a lot of fun too. My favorite is called 'Advance to Boardwalk' where you roll a die to move 14 spaces on a game board to land exactly on Boardwalk, accumulating money as you move down the path. If you land exactly on Boardwalk you win $100,000. The catch is you can't roll the same number twice. You get one free roll however so you don't get busted out on your first duplicate roll. There's a lot of decisions to be made. Do you stop and take the money you've made as your chances of rolling a different number decrease?

The final round is fantastic too. It's a giant version of Monopoly on a big LED board that the player walks around. The object is to pass GO within five rolls of the dice to win $200,000, but if the contestant lands exactly on GO they win one million dollars! So cool.

Check the game out and let me know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook and Twitter. If you play the lottery and manage to get on the show, let me know too! I'd love to hear your experience.
