There's another scam going around on Facebook that is putting people into a panic. No need to worry though. Here's the lowdown.

If you've seen this on your Facebook feed here's all you need to know: NOT true.

Hackers aren't stupid. They wouldn't resort to things like this, and it's highly unlikely that anyone will get into your account unless you let them in - knowingly or not.

Snopes.com, the go to source for debunking things in the world, explains it:

False warnings about hackers invading Facebook accounts to post insulting messages to the walls of friends of the rightful owners of those accounts have been circulating in e-mail and on social networking sites since at least 2011....

The bottom line is that Facebook users have to actively do something (even if they aren't aware they're doing it) to open the door and allow hijackers to access their accounts; security-conscious users need not worry that "hackers" will suddenly seize control of their Facebook accounts no matter what precautions they may take.

So there you have it. It's not happening, but make sure you take steps to not do things that might make your account vulnerable like signing into a website with your Facebook credentials that you don't recognize.
