These Two Maine Boys Brought Trucks Full of Cans and Bottles to This Year’s Cans for a Cure
Bryce and Riley have been participating in Q Cans for a Cure for years, and I can remember back when they started and were smaller than me!
This year, the boys delivered again with two massive trucks full of bottles and cans. I am so thankful for their donation as it will help contribute to the Cancer Community Center, which just merged with the Dempsey Center.
Bryce and Riley...were 3 and 1 when they first came to the tent 9 years ago. They have both grown into such amazing young men...
These boys have gone from coming to Cans for a Cure with their mom Katie with a couple of bags in the back of the car...to bringing in OVER 7500.00 IN BOTTLES AND CANS! That's over 110,000 bottles and cans! That's insane!
In May, they were robbed of most of the bottles and cans they had collected! They were devastated. But quickly learned that there is more good in the world than bad. Mainers stepped up in a big way and not only made up what was stolen, but helped the boys exceed every goal they set!
These boys make me want to be better, and try harder to help those fighting cancer. Thank you to P.Y. Estes and William A. Day Jr. and Sons for supporting the boys and the community in all their amazing efforts.
Thank you to the extended family that has become my family. You are the inspiration for all to get involved and help.
