Strawberry lovers, rejoice! According to WMTW, it looks like you'll be able to enjoy fresh, local strawberries a little earlier this year.

The workers at Chipman's Farm say that they've already started running sprinklers over their strawberries, due to the more hot and humid conditions this year. The water helps cool them down, so they don't ripen as quickly.

Normally, they begin running sprinklers in July.

Strawberries are definitely one of my favorite fruits. There's nothing like biting into a fresh, plump, and juicy one! I can't wait for this year's local harvest!
