It's true. The Time & Temperature Building made me late for work today. Here's how.

I have the best job in the world. I create the stuff you hear on Q97.9 and the stuff you see here at WJBQ.com. I live about two blocks away from our studios here at One City Center, and I walk down Congress Street to work every day.

Well, today was a pretty normal day. I rolled out of bed and turned on the Q Morning Show, took a shower, had breakfast, got dressed, and started my morning commute.

At some point during my 3 minute walk to work, I looked up at the sign on top of the Time & Temperature building. It read "8:49... 77°... CALL... JOE." If you live or work in Portland, you see this all the time. All was right with the world.

I trusted the soft, familiar glow of lightbulbs atop one of Portland's most recognizable buildings, and they betrayed me.

So, I see that I'm about an hour early. I usually jump on the air around 10, so I figured I had some time to get stuff done. I went to Reny's, did some shopping, and generally had a nice morning.

Then, I strolled into work at what I thought was about 9:30.

Who do I call about this? Joe?

I WAS INJURED!
