Last night's SNL40 was a pretty epic event. So many former cast members returned to pay tribute to the show that launched their careers and even do some of their best known skits one more time.

Like every SNL episode it had its misteps, but also had some moments that had me laughing so hard I cried.

Here are what I thought were the top 5 moments from SNL40.

5. Weekend Update With Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Jane Curtin

Seeing Tina and Amy back on the Weekend Update desk with the legend that started it all was great. Best moment: Jane Curtin's joke about how she used to be the only pretty blonde woman reading the fake news.

4. Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon's Cold Open

These two should go on tour together. It amazes me how they can string together SNL catchphrases into a song and dance routine and pull it off so well.

3. Steve Martin's Monologue

Steve Martin's still got it: "Out here, alone, on stage doing comedy I can just relax and enjoy the silence."

2. Wayne's World

Wayne and Garth's Top 10 List of things about SNL had a lot of great Kanye jokes and a hilarious impression of producer Lorne Michaels by both Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey.

1. Jeopardy!

It was the first skit of the night and the most hilariously out of control one too. Will Ferrell returned as Alex Trebek and Darrell Hammond stepped away from his new duties as SNL announcer to play Alex's arch nemisis Sean Connery. Best Jeopardy! category: "Let It Snow." I was in tears.
