UNBOXING: Jeff Opens the New NES Classic Edition

They went on sale this morning at 9AM and were hard to find less than an hour later, but I got one. Let's open up the new NES Classic Edition.

The NES Classic Edition is a miniature version of the Nintendo Entertainment System originally released in 1985 and and was the best selling video game console of its time. It was where we were first introduced to Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Final Fantasy and got to play arcade classics like Donkey Kong and Pac-Man that looked almost as good as what was in arcades. The NES Classic Edition sells for $59.99 and I was lucky enough to pick up one of the three that Bull Moose on Middle Street in Portland had when the opened their doors at 9AM.

Most stores are already sold out, but Amazon will be selling a limited stock of the NES Classic at 5PM ET today, November 11. There's sure to be another wave of these released by Nintendo to hit in time for holiday shopping, so be on the look out and grab yours as soon as you can, because everyone seems to want one!
