The National Weather Service is warning that the apparent temperature could spike over 100 degrees on Monday afternoon across Northern New England.

In a tweet posted last this evening, the National Weather Service in Gray is warning that the apparent temperature could hit 100 and 101 in southern New Hampshire, and up to 97 to 99 in parts of southern Maine.

Extremely hot temperatures combined with high humidity can also trigger powerful thunderstorms. The National Weather Service is expecting the strong possibility of thunderstorms in our area Monday late afternoon and evening.

At least some good news: Temperatures are expected to return back to the 70s for most of the rest of the week. How are you planning to stay cool during this mini heatwave?
