U.S. News & World Report just released its 3rd annual ranking of America's 125 largest metropolitan areas based on affordability, job prospects and quality of life.

 

For the second year in a row...Austin, Texas is the place to be!

According to U.S. News & World Report:

The study analyzed survey responses from 3,000 people as well as data collected from the U.S. Census, the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the FBI Uniform Crime Report and other U.S. News rankings.

  • Austin, Texas
  • Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Des Moines, Iowa
  • Fayetteville, Arkansas
  • Portland, Oregon
  • Huntsville, Alabama
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN
  • Seattle, WA

 

So..did Maine make the list? Yes!

Portland came in at #27! That's out of 125 of the best places to live in the entire country. Don't tell Jeff - I think he'd disagree.
