‘Vigil of Lights’ Tuesday Night in Longfellow Park in Portland
The University Neighborhood Organization is holding a “Vigil of Lights” Memorial Gathering Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 in Longfellow Park from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to honor the victims, survivors, families, friends & responders of the 20 Noyes Street Fire that claimed the lives of six young adults.
Before the vigil, you can also go to a Prayer Flag/Hope making from 4:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at HopeGateWay, 509 Forest Ave. in Portland. All supplies provided.
All they ask is that you bring flashlights for the 6:00 p.m. “Vigil of Lights” in Longfellow Park. Longfellow Park is located between Noyes, Longfellow and Oakdale Streets in Portland. There will be refreshments after at Temple Beth El on Wadsworth Street in Portland.
Most of us didn't directly know the 6 people who lost their lives, but that doesn't stop the want to share in the grief and loss of our community. Please join us.
