Old people must be so tired of getting asked, "what's your secret?!" as if they've discovered the life hack to staying alive. The secret, I would imagine, is not dying. A lot of that has gotta be luck (it's rare to go that many years without being in the wrong place at the wrong time!), along with common sense (don't eat sugar and grease for *every* meal, wear a helmet, don't drink and drive, etc.)

A recent study from the University of California surveyed over 1,600 nonagenarians (people in their 90s) and found that "people who drank two glasses of beer or wine a day improved their odds of living longer than those who abstained by about 18 percent," according to US News.

And that wasn't the only thing that potentially prolongs your life. The study went on to comment on lifestyle and weight:

Exercising regularly and partaking in a hobby for two hours a day were also associated with longer lives. Surprisingly, people who were overweight, but not obese, in their 70s lived longer than normal or underweight people did.

So there you have it, folks. If you wanna live a long life, stick to your routine of alcohol in moderation, give time to your passions, and don't sweat shedding those last 10 pounds.
