I've always wanted to be a game show host. Dan Cashman has always wanted to be a talk show host. Tonight (May 2) on Fox 23 at 10:30 you can find out how the two of us are living the dream when I'm a guest on The Night Show with Danny Cashman.

Dan has been producing and hosting The Nite Show in Bangor off and on since 1997. What started as a small, local production has turned into something big. The list of guests Dan has booked range from local celebrities like Jackie Ward of WCSH and comedian Tim Sample, to local politicians like Senator Angus King and Governor Paul LePage.

Dan doesn't stop there with just local guests though. He grabs national celebs too like Marc Summers of The Food Channel and Double Dare, The Count from Sesame Street, and Weird Al Yankovic who you can see on May 9th.

It's just what you'd expect from a late night talk show in the tradition of Johnny Carson (Any wonder why he goes by the name Danny in the show title?) The show starts with a monologue, a comedy skit and a guest or two.

When I arrived for my taping this past week, I was shown to my dressing room. This is my third time on the show, but that was a first. The show moved to the Gracie Theater on the Husson University Campus and it's produced by the students at the New England School of Communications. You'd never know they were students from the professionalism and skill they demonstrate.

During my segment on the show, Dan and I talked about our mutual love of game shows and I even brought him a game show related gift and told the story of how I got it when I met Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad at The Price is Right.

After my segment one of the most amazing comedians I have ever seen came out to do his routine. I won't tell you what about his comedy makes him so unique because it would spoil the surprise, but you really should watch the show to find out.

You can see me on The Nite Show with Danny Cashman tonight, May 2, at 10:30 on Fox 23.
