NBA? Whatever. If you want to see some exciting basketball, you should check out the Maine High School tournament going on right now. Last night was a nail biter that came down to the final buzzer between the Gorham and Massabesic boys.

With less than a minute to go in the game in the Class AA boys South championship, Gorham was up by just two points and the last six minutes of the game were streamed live by WCSH 6's Lee Goldberg. It truly is some of the most exciting basketball you'll watch because these kids are in it for school pride.

Winning a game, not in their school gym, but in the largest arenas in Maine in front of capacity crowds, has got to be a huge thrill for these players.

If you want to see a game in person, they run right through the weekend at the Cross Insurance Arena, the Augusta Civic Center and The Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Tickets are just $8 to see some exciting high school basketball as these players go for the gold ball.
