It has been over 30 years since Eddie Murphy was last on Saturday Night Live. Tonight he finally returns for SNL's 40th Anniversary Special. Here's a look back at a 21-year-old Eddie Murphy talking about how he came up with sketch ideas.

I'm pretty excited to see him back. The first time I ever watched Saturday Night Live I saw Murphy's skit "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood' a spoof on Mr. Rogers.

But I think his funniest bit on SNL was when he had a makeup artist dress him up as a white man as he walked through the streets of New York.
