What is a Slurpee Wave? Only the Coolest Thing Ever! [PICS]

Jonathan Nimerfroh in Nantucket took some pictures of waves that were nearly frozen. It gives the appearance of a giant Slushee! It's because there is so much ice in the wave  - because it's been so cold!

Jonathan saw this as he was walking the beach in Nantucket, MA.

I've never seen anything like it - but if it's gonna be the coldest February on record (Portland's average temp was 14. That beat the old record from 1979 of 15.6) then at least there is something cool to show for it!
