What’s Wrong With This Sign I Saw In Portland?

I did a double take when I saw this sign in the parking lot of Shaw's yesterday. What happened here? 

Did you catch it? The sign reads:

"Our shopping carts are provided 4 your convenience."

Now I know that a lot of people have started using numbers in place of words for (4) some time now, but this is one (1) sign that shouldn't be using textspeak.

It's not even consistent. Elsewhere they use the word "for" instead of 4. Did the person who wrote the language of this sign text it to the printer? I'm baffled.

I know, it's a minor thing, but textspeak is a pet peeve of mine, especially when it's used when you aren't texting!

The only person who can pull this off is Prince because he was doing it before anyone knew what a cell phone was much less a text message.
