The National Confectioners Association says that if you want the best Halloween candy when you're trick-or-treating, go to Grandma's house. Here's why.

In an interview with The Today Show, Susan Whiteside of the National Confectioners Association said, "The baby boom generation was the first to celebrate Halloween the way we do today...They’re the first generation who sent their kids out trick-or-treating who had also done it themselves, so they knew what was going to be fun. And now they’re the first generation of grandparents who have done it. Because it’s something they really loved, it’s something they love to continue. I always say, ‘If you love Halloween, thank a baby boomer.'"

That makes sense. Don't forget that they don't have kids to take trick-or-treating so they're most likely to be home.

So take the kids to those homes where the people over 50 live to cash in.

And after you're done trick-or-treating with the kids, leave them with the babysitter and join us for the biggest party in all of Portland! The Spirit of Portland Halloween Party is on Halloween night at 8PM at Ocean Gateway and you won't want to miss it. Get more info and buy your tickets online before it sells out!
