Ya Know, I Really Don’t Mind a Mammogram

There it is. The dreaded 'boob squisher'. But ya know, I actually don't mind getting my annual mammogram and I'll tell you why. 

First, I get mine at Mercy Fore River and have for years. It's also where I had my hysterectomy. It's a nice place. I'm sure the other places are great too, this just happens to be where I have gone. So, there's one reason: I like the place I go.

Then (and this is a biggie) you get to keep your pants on! It's just nice to go to a doctors office and keep your pants on. See? It's right in the directions!

I also don't mind the squishing part. Oh sure, it's not the most comfortable thing I've ever done with my boobs, but it's quick and really...it could be worse. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes and bada-bing-bada-boom, you are done and you are being proactive!

I have gotten a mammogram since my 30's. I was told I had to. I go every May and I never miss an appointment.

Here's the message. If you have never had one, get one. Most insurances will cover the cost and truly...nothing to be scared of. Plus, if you have any concerns, a mammogram may be all you need for peace of mind.
