You Won’t Believe What Maine Women Are Being Taxed For – It Needs to Stop, Period

There are only 10 states that DON'T tax women for this. Maine does...and it is absolutely shocking and ridiculous. 

Maine is taxing women for having their periods.

You heard me. It's a so called, 'tampon tax'. I had no idea. Tampons, aren't considered a necessity (non-luxury) so they fall in the luxury category!

From the Maine Revenue Services Sales Fuel and Special Tax Division Instructional Bulletin - Page 3:

New York just passed a bill to get rid of this insane tax after four women sued the state. But that still leaves 40 states INCLUDING MAINE paying this mind blowing tax!

Hell, I don't even need tampons anymore, but I want to start a petition or sue the state and get this tax stopped! Who's with me?
