You’ll Soon Be Able to Get Gas at the Auburn Walmart Again

It's been 9 months since the gas station at the entrance to the Auburn Walmart on Mt. Auburn Avenue closed and customers have missed the convenience of shopping and gassing up in one spot. According the the Sun Journal, the popular gas station is coming back.

The gas station that sits in the corner of the parking lot of the Auburn Walmart closed in November but wasn't actually owned by Walmart. The gas stations was so popular that Walmart bought it, renovated it and it's set to open this week.

The nearest gas station was a little over a mile away on Center Street, but it was just too convenient to gas up on your way out after a busy day of shopping. It was especially convenient for those travelling west toward Minot as gas stations are few and far between in that direction.

The new Walmart operated gas station may open Aug 23 or 24.
