Your Favorite Westbrook Neighborhood Snake, Wessie, is Getting a Party in his Honor! [INFORMATION]

Since late June, Wessie the Snake has been on the loose in Westbrook, Maine. He has become a sensation nationwide. His favorite hunting grounds have been along the Presumpscot River. We do know that he has dined on a beaver, and has shed his skin long the river side. There are only 2 police officers that have actually seen the python snake. Yes, a snake that is big enough to eat a baby has become the city of Westbrook's mascot. Wessie has now done an interview, has his own twitter account, and even become a child's work of art. And, as just a reminder, Wessie is a dangerous, wild animal.

Even better, the Downtown Westbrook Coalition is planning a Wessie Festival for October 22nd. The plans are still in the works as to location and festivities. And, obviously, Wessie is invited to make an appearance. LOL
