AdWeek.com released the results of a survey conducted by Rantic Marketing that revealed the most annoying Facebook posts in each state. The categories include posts about personal problems, selfies, political posts, food pictures, and baby pictures. Here's the state breakdown.

• Personal problems: 21
• Selfies: 9
• Political posts: 7
• Food pictures: 7
• Baby pictures: 6

Maine is one of the 21 states that finds posts about personal problems the most annoying. I can only assume this category includes complaining about a spouse, trouble at work, or sharing other vague updates about your life.

I've always said that Facebook is a public forum and you're free to post whatever you want. I don't care if you need to use Facebook as a diary or as your own personal food blog. If it "annoys" me to see your posts I'll discreetly hide your content from my feed without making much of a stink about it. I steer clear of these types of updates, especially the negative ones. But it doesn't bother me too much if others need to vent on the 'book.
