#1 Goalie in the NHL, Boston Bruins’ Linus Ullmark, Spotted At Wachusett Mountain in Massachusetts
If you don't know Boston Bruins goaltender, Linus Ullmark, you need to.
This guy is having an absolute heater of a year. (AKA a really, really good year). He is hands down the best goalie in the National Hockey League right now. No, that's not biased...these are stats according to NBC Sports.
As of 12/30:
Goals against average: 1.9
Goals Saved Above Average: 22.61
Save Percentage: .938
High-Danger Save Percentage: .863
5 on 5 Save Percentage: .946
Get this: he owns the #1 spot in all of those categories, so yeah, he is pretty hot right now.
Now although he is having one heck of a year, the goalie makes time for giving back, laughs, community, and family.
He does not take himself too seriously. He volunteers with the Bruins organization. He is one funny guy, and who doesn't love the Ullmark-Swayman goalie hugs? We love him.
It turns out that Linus Ullmark is a fan of the New England/Massachusetts community, too. Last night, the goaltending stud was spotted at Wachusett Mountain in Westminster, Massachusetts, with his family.
In the picture are his adorable children, Lilly and Harry. You can see Harry getting comfortable on skis (kind of like dad on skates).
When I saw Linus' Instagram story, I did a double take. I was thinking, "Is that Ullmark? At Wachussett Mountain?"
Turns out, it was.
It's really cool to see professional athletes, the people many children and grown men like me look up to (kidding), out doing regular stuff. Out with their family. Out teaching their youngest how to ski at the local beginner mountain.
That's one of the many reasons I love calling this area home.
