3 Most Common Questions About My Laser Hair Removal Journey in Falmouth, Maine
I love this topic so much because I get to educate other girlies out there who also struggle with sensitive skin and razors. I'll start by telling you I'm 50 percent Irish, 50 percent Italian which makes me the most beautiful DISASTER you'll ever meet when it comes to skin things. I have this white porcelain skin that can also get color in the summer time, but also this natural auburn red hair that fades to blonde on the end that's just the total opposite of Italians. This leaves my armpits to inherit the Italian side, which unfortunately for me and many of you means we've got course hair.
I'm about to turn this into a positive if you too have course, darker hair. I'll leave the rest of the education on this to Meg & Co out in Falmouth which is where I go for treatment locally. However I'll just say this, course, darker body hair makes you almost the perfect candidate to zap the hair follicles.
Here are the top 3 most common questions I get online since I've started my laser hair permanent removal journey:
1. Does it hurt worse than getting a tattoo?
A: Nope, and it's actually fairly quick. I won't lie, of course it hurts a bit, but it's a good hurt because it confirms it's working.
2. How many sessions does it take for the hair to be completely gone?
A: Truly it's all personal. Some skin types may react to the laser 20 times better than other skin types. I'm on my second session and the results are already almost half way gone. Overall though, I'd say schedule a consult to figure out your own skin type and what the results will look like. Click here.
3. Does it burn your armpits for a certain amount of time after you get them lasered?
A: Not at all, at least not for me. I've never left the spa feeling like my skin was irritated or burning, even though all of my hair foliculed did just get burnt. I would say this is one of the bigger misconceptions people have about the process, and I'll be the first to tell ya you can literally go work out directly after a session and be just fine!
Meg & Co Aesthetics is out in Falmouth, Maine at a super convenient shopping plaza near the Shaw's out there and I love these girls so much. They'll educate you and together you choose the right process for your skin, and they nail it every time. Plus, winter is the best time to zap your hair off because sun is the enemy in this process. Girls I promise you it's worth every penny.
