Why is it that all the rules go out the window when you are on vacation. And they really go out the window if you happen to be in a foreign country!

So, these are my rules...they may not apply to you:

1. I HAD NACHO CHEESE...A LOT

So as a rule, I never eat nacho cheese. You know, the kind you pour onto...whatever! I try to be good and avoid the stuff. But when you go all 'inclusive' and there's a big pot of it with a bin of chips...well, let's just say one night I didn't feel all that great because my lunch was chips and nacho cheese!

2. I DRANK BEFORE NOON...A LOT

Much like the nacho cheese theory, I try to be good about drinking. But once again, those pesky words, 'all inclusive' made it very difficult to resist! So, what's a little drinky drink before noon...every day gonna hurt?  Especially when you soak it up with nacho cheese!

3. EATING AT A BUFFET AND MAKING VERY POOR CHOICES

Usually I also try to avoid buffets. They just scream, 'MAKE BAD DECISIONS!' And I did. Here's my lunch one day (when I wasn't having nacho cheese on chips or fries!). Yes, that's cookies, fruit and beets - ya know...so I can say I had a vegetable.

4. RIDING A HORSE!

Normally I would not get on a horse. You see, on my 12th birthday, my best friend Lisa Bates rode her horse to my house to say 'hi'. She lived about 5 miles away and rode a horse named, 'Fat Albert'...bareback. I, being the birthday girl and all, asked if I could ride 'Fat Albert'. I hopped on the bareback horse who decided that he was going home...and fast! He took off down our half a mile long gravel driveway dumping me about halfway. I still have the scars to prove it did not end well.

5. I DIDN'T SHOWER EVERY DAY

I don't know about you, but as a rule, I shower daily. For some reason, this vacation I showered (ready?)  TWICE the entire trip! And I wasn't gross...I had either been in a pool or the beach, so sorta clean. It was weird though..I felt like I was on 'Reverse Survivor'. Who could eat and drink the most and not shower? I win!

BONUS RULE BROKEN!

I danced in front of a lot of people in a thong at the Gabi Restaurant!

Okay...okay, maybe it's not me. You should have seen the kids eyes. Hysterical...

Had a great time. Glad to be back not drinking before noon and avoiding nacho cheese!
