When it comes to celebrating milestone birthdays, there are so many different things that you can do- especially in the great state of Maine.

When you're younger, it might be a trip with all your family and friends to Sparetime Recreation for some bowling fun. In your early teen years, maybe a trip to Regal Cinemas of Urban Air is in order for a fun afternoon of celebrating.

When you turn 21, leave it to all your friends to take you out for way too many drinks and a Sunday full of regrets and swearing up and down that you'll 'never drink again'. When you turn 25, you go out and rent a car for the first time, perhaps? And of course, everyone should have themselves a raging 'Dirty 30' party, right?

But, what the heck is a good party for someone turning 90 years old? Well, for one Maine birthday boy, he just just got the surprise of his life. According to WABI TV 5, George Dunn, from Ellsworth, Maine, got super high for his 90th. But, not the way you might think.

You see, Mr. Dunn just so happens to be a Master Pilot and an FAA certified award winner. WABI reports that George has been flying since back in 1953- so 'getting high' is nothing new for this Maine native.

Approaching his 90th birthday, George's family and friends decided to throw him the surprise birthday party of his life. They contacted a family friend, Nate Holyoke, who just happens to be a helicopter pilot.

They met up with Nate and sent George up in the skies for a birthday helicopter ride- but it doesn't end there. As they were flying, pilot Nate looked down and asked George, "hey isn't that the church you go to? It looks like an awful lot of cars are there, we should head down and see what's going on!"

Yes, you figured the rest out. The helicopter landed at the church and delivered George to his own surprise party that had friends and family from all over waiting to celebrate his birthday milestone.

George was quoted by WABI saying in part,

“I just thought that’s all we were going for, was to ride in the helicopter. I didn’t figure it out when I got out of the plane [helicopter]. I never had a clue. There was a lot of people there and I could see some of my relatives, and I figured they were here for supper. I walked up and then it come to me, what was going on,”
