Someone at Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass removed and burned the American flag after the election. So the school put up a new flag and decided on their own that it be lowered it to half-staff, in solidarity with those fearing a Donald Trump presidency. That caused a problem with those who realize that the American flag is a symbol of our great country, no matter who's running it. Now, I know that only the President and state governors can decide when and how long the American flag should be flown at half-staff so maybe the college shouldn't have lowered it at all unless they had backing from their governor. But to completely remove our flag from campus to me is un-American.

This flag does not just represent our next President. It represents the greatest country on the planet. It represents the men and women who live in America, and the men and women who have fought and are fighting for our freedom. It represents our history, our heritage. Shame on you Amherst College, and to whomever is so upset with the outcome of the election that they feel the need to burn our flag. Are we not still all Americans?

It's important to know what the college did is not illegal, but to me it's an insult to America.

Via www.gettysburgflag.comThe Flag Code is a code, it is intended to provide guidance and is not obligatory. It carries no civil or criminal penalties for "misuse" of the Flag. Individuals are not acting illegally when using the flag according to their own rules. The Flag Code is only required to be followed on public or government buildings.
