The Secret Service will be pouring into Biddeford on Friday for the arrival a Trump who will be in Maine to discuss tax reform. No, not the President. His daughter Ivanka.

According to the Portland Press Herald, a forum on tax reform will be held in Biddeford with Ivanka Trump and Senator Susan Collins at Volk Packaging at 11 Morin Street.

The White House is expected to announce the visit by President Trump’s daughter later Thursday. The forum will be from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Volk Packaging, a business owned by state Sen. Amy Volk, R-Scarborough, and her husband, Derek Volk.

Why Biddeford? Possibly because the owners of Volk Packaging are Amy Volk, a Republican State Senator from Scarborough and her husband Derek Volk.

Senator Collins has been opposed to several plans for tax reforms including tax breaks for the wealthy, but has supported tax credits for child care and tax reform that will support working women with families, a stance that Ivanka Trump has been in agreement on.

It should be an interesting day in Biddeford on Friday.
