Looking for a fun weekend beer crawl in Portland, Maine? How about one that also supports a good cause?

The Ales for Tails Beer Crawl takes place Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15, and features over 20 breweries you can stop in for a delicious brew. The proceeds during the event directly benefit the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland's life-saving mission.

And don't worry about having to score a ticket. Simply visit one of the affiliated establishments during the event to participate in this fun "pup crawl."

The first 100 participants to visit one of the ARLGP tables (near Allagash Brewing or Rising Tide beginning at 12 p.m.) on either day will get a commemorative glass.
