Our friends at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine are bringing sisters Aly & AJ to town for one show only on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

The sisters have been writing and recording music for over 20 years. Their first recording contract was with Hollywood Records which has major ties to Disney. In fact, some of their early releases were tied to Disney movies and tv shows on The Disney Channel.

As of 2025, they have released 6 albums under the Aly & AJ name. There was a brief time they recorded and toured under the name 78violet.

Their highest charting hit came in 2007 with the single "Potential Breakup Song". If you grew up with Q97.9, you probably remember our nightly "Interactive 8 at 8" all-request countdown. The song appeared there many times during its run on the pop charts.
