Arcadia in Portland Releases New Summer Food and Drink Menu
When Arcadia moved to its new location in the former Port City Music Hall space on Congress Street, the owners knew it was still a work in progress. Arcadia has grown bit by bit in a much larger space than its former location on Preble Street after two years of being closed during the pandemic.
For those that don't know, Arcadia is an arcade bar with dozens of classic video games you remember in the arcades of the 80s and 90s. Classics like Galaga and Pac-Man. Pinball machines dating from the early 70's to modern games like Godzilla. Skee-Ball, bubble hockey, coin pushers you can win tickets for prizes with. They have it all and even some game unique games you may discover that are older than you yet incredibly fun to play like "Ringer." It also plays host to a Skee-Ball league and is one of many locations that is part of the New England Pinball League.
All of this gaming sits just past a large bar with outlets and USB plugs to charge your phone with while you enjoy one of their many adult beverages.
One of the things that have been a work in progress is Arcadia's menu. Besides all the great games, they have some amazing food.
They started out serving pizza in their "Food Court," which is really just a window to place and pick up your order, but they got a deal on a really cool Food Court sign from an old mall.
I can tell you the pizza is amazing. On my visit a few weeks ago, I had a pepperoni and meatball pizza and it was delicious.
Now Arcadia is expanding beyond pizza with a new food and drink menu including some new house cocktails, and new menu items from the food court like Maine Italians, and the Arcadia Chili Dog. It comes with everything you'd want in a chili dog. All beef chili, American cheese, onion and sour cream.
I can't wait to try the Italian Chicken Sando. It's a house-made chicken patty with arugula, cheese, garlic/basil oil, red sauce and banana pepper.
If you haven't visited the new Arcadia, this might be just the nudge you need to go check it out.
