603 Bar & Lounge in Dover, New Hampshire

Formerly the Central Wave on Central Avenue in Dover, 603 Bar & Lounge (called simply "The 603" by locals) is known for three things -- great drinks, great dancing, and their Sunday night drag shows.

But on April 21, they're going to be known for something else -- helping one of their own beat cancer down through Beerlympics.

Sarcoma Cancer

On Friday, April 21, the 603 is putting on a special Beerlympics event, all in the name of helping one of their employees.

A few months ago, around Christmas time, an employee at the 603 named Bryan was diagnosed with Sarcoma cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, Sarcoma cancer begins in bone or soft tissue (like cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, etc.) and come in different forms with different treatments and prognosis.

According to family, while Bryan had a rough go of it at first, he's been improving and doing better.
