Britney Spears is Taking Over Maine Today for the First Time in Six Years
Britney Spears's Wild Ride
It's been an almost impossible decade-plus for Britney Spears, with conservatorships and basically not even being able to go to the bathroom with essentially receiving a hall pass in her own house, plus a real scumbag father who took advantage of her celebrity. But thankfully, all of that ended last November when a judge ordered to remove Jamie Spears's control of his daughter.
Britney's rumored return to music
Almost since her conservatorship ended and Britney was free, other than posting a lot of barely-censored naked videos and pictures on her Instagram account (which at the time of this writing has been deleted, but could return at any time), there have been rumors of exactly when Britney would be returning with new music. There's been rumors of her teaming with Doja Cat for a track, but nothing ever came from that.
However, today, that all changed.
Britney Spears is back with a new song
Earlier this morning/late last night at Midnight, Elton John and Britney Spears dropped a brand new song called "Hold Me Closer," which is actually a reboot of Elton's 1972 song "Tiny Dancer." Or, as most people would rather hear it, "Hold Me Close, Tony Danza." (Aren't misheard lyrics the best, though?)
