When I took this picture and looked at it on my phone and looked at it, I took me a minute to find what it was on my counter that I was photographing. Can you see it?

During the last bit of snow we got, I fired up the snow blower to clear the driveway. The problem is there really wasn't as much snow as I thought there was. We have a dirt driveway, and unlike a paved driveway, a snow blower is going to struggle a bit more and pick up things other than snow. Things that can cause problems. That's exactly what happened.

A rock got picked up and lodged itself in the auger. I knew there was a problem as soon as snow stopped being thrown out of the chute. Luckily the shear pin did its job and kept the snow blower from getting some real damage.

I grabbed a shim and a rubber mallet, knocked the rock free and brought it in to show Michele what happened. I then place it on the counter and took a picture of it and found it blended it perfectly with the counter top. If you didn't know it was there, you might not even see it in the photo.

The one thing that makes it stand out is specs of red paint from the snow blower. How cool is that?
