Thompson's Point in Portland has been hosting a variety of socially distant events at their spacious venue all summer long. This month they launched Moonlight Cinema.

Each weekend in August they will host a "socially distant conscious movie experience." The event is BOYC (bring your own chair) and you can enjoy food and beverages with their vendors on site which includes a full bar.

The films they are showing this month have a common theme. They provide an opportunity for viewers to consider and discuss racial matters and representation. All films are family-friendly.

The line-up for the remainder of the month is as follows:

August 15th: Remember the Titans
August 21st and 22nd: PMA Presents Jazz on a Summer's Day
August 29th: The Princess and The Frog

There is no cost to enjoy the films, however, they are limited to 50 guests so reservations are required and can be done here through their Facebook event page.
