Crossing State Border Shows Radical Difference in ME and NH Roads
It's that time of year when the roads in Maine are terrible, littered with potholes and crumbling pavement from the hard winter. However, a video recently posted on Facebook of someone driving across the border from New Hampshire to Maine shows a big difference between the roads on either side of the line.
The video was posted by Tommy Blaze Day on his Facebook page showing him crossing the border from Conway, NH to Fryeburg, ME on Route 302. As you may know, each state is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep on their section of Route 302. That responsibility changes at the state line and you can clearly see the huge difference between the states when the smooth pavement in New Hampshire, suddenly turns to a crumbling bumpy road in Maine.
Of course there is much debate as to why the Maine side is so much worse, but it's clear, New Hampshire somehow manages to get it done.
