Did You Balance and Egg on the Vernal Equinox?

Yes, every Vernal Equinox I try to balance and egg on its end. And every year I do it. Now, some naysayers (Jeff Parsons) say you can do this any day of the year. I choose to believe that I can only do it on the first day of Spring. Have you tried it?
